Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic 2019 Review

Added: 24 June 2019

Are you interested in the limited-edition Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography? Here are the key details you need to know before committing to a purchase of this vehicle.

The Specs

This car is blisteringly fast for a larger vehicle. It has a top speed of 170mph and will take you from zero to sixty-two in just 4.5 seconds. This ensures that the car will rival some of its key competitors including the Porsche Cayenne Turbo.

The car does fall down on mpg with a max of 30. However, for this type of vehicle that’s relatively standard, even with conservative driving.

Design Work

If you’re familiar with the Velar, then there won’t be too many noticeable differences here. It certainly doesn’t look like a brand-new model and that’s because it isn’t. That said, there are a few key features that ensure this car looks fantastic and these are sure to impress buyers. It’s not just about flashy looks either. The improvements are often practical choices. For instance, cooling has been improved with a new grille but we’d be lying if we said this along with the fresh bumper didn’t make the car eye-catching. You can get fantastic, exclusive original shades here too if you’re willing to pay just a little extra. This is great if you’re keen to add more style to your ride.

Inside, you’ll find even more beautiful design work. We were already impressed with the original cabin, but it’s the extra tech that ensures this feels and looks great. You might be a little disappointed with some plastic trimming in certain areas for the price you are paying. But, examples of this are few and far between. You’ll most likely be too busy testing out the dual touchscreens to focus that much on this.

How Does It Drive?

Parents or business executives perhaps aren’t interested in how fast this vehicle will take them around corners. Instead, you might be more curious about comfort and this vehicle does offer a lot of support. There’s no reason to worry that you’re going to feel every bump. If you do want to stretch the muscles of this vehicle, then it’s certainly built for that with a sports mode that’s sure to provide thrills. Despite being quite a heavy vehicle, this has sharp acceleration and it’s a pleasure to zip between gears if you choose to take this for a spin on the track. Steering is quite light too which again helps with a car that is on the heavy side. Racing enthusiasts are going to notice some understeer but that’s probably to be expected on a car this large.

How Much?

It isn’t cheap, but considering the fact that you are getting a limited-edition car, just under £87,000 isn’t a bad price. It also allows you to get your hands on a vehicle that is currently only being produced for one year right now. It’s definitely the exclusivity that you are buying into here as well as the luxurious features.

Final Thoughts

Ultimately the Land Rover Velar SVADynamic does provide both a thrilling and supportive ride. It looks great too and those mainly seeking out an SUV with a beautiful aesthetic won’t be disappointed with this choice. As you’d expect, the interior and exterior of this car do look like an exclusive purchase and not something that the typical buyer would own.
